Our Client is an international financial services firm with a strong online and execution brokerage arm. Due to growing business needs, a newly created Compliance Manager for their Central / Core Compliance Team is required.

Job Title: Compliance Manager (Central / Core Compliance)

Responsibilities:

Our client seeking a Compliance Manager focused on central/core compliance in Singapore, with responsibilities extending to the APAC region. Key duties include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Researching, interpreting, and advising on compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to brokers in Singapore.
  • Drafting and implementing policies and procedures to meet MAS and exchange requirements (e.g., SGX).
  • Preparing written responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Managing regulatory inspections and audits, including developing and executing remedial action plans to address any findings.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with technology and its application in business and regulatory contexts.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of developing compliance solutions that align with regulations while exercising sound business judgment.
  • Collaborative team player with experience in a small team environment.
  • Proven track record within a financial services regulatory agency, exchange, or licensed financial services firm.
  • Familiarity with Singaporean regulatory requirements.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
