TOKIO MARINE LIFE INSURANCE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced AML/CTF compliance professional to lead second-line monitoring and assessment programs, enhancing policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.

You will oversee the operational team and internal AML function, drive improvements in tooling for monitoring and reporting, and coordinate with MLRO/management on suspicious activity investigations and escalation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Professional AML/Compliance certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimally 7 years AML/Compliance experience in financial industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage second line monitoring and assessment for AML/CTF.
  • Improve and maintain AML/CTF policies and procedures.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local and regional requirements.
  • Enhance tools to monitor, analyze, and report suspicious activity.
  • Oversee reviews of suspicious activity to ensure policy compliance.
  • Identify regulatory changes and inform stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight to operational and internal AML teams.
  • Ensure timely feedback on escalated cases to MLRO/Management.
  • Develop and participate in compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Deliver relevant compliance reporting to MLRO/Management.

Job Description
  • Handle the management and execution of second line monitoring and assessment program for Anti-MoneyLaundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF).
  • Improve and maintain AML/CTF policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory framework put in place by local and regional stakeholders.
  • Aid in the improvement of tools to monitor, analyze, and report suspicious activity.
  • Ensure that the team file reviews of suspicious activity to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures put in place.
  • Identify and inform of any changes to legislation and other regulatory requirements relating to AML/CTF.
  • Provide oversight to the operational team, which acts as the first line monitors and investigators of suspicious activity.
  • Provide oversight to the internal AML team and ensure that the team is kept abreast of industry and global developments.
  • Ensure consistent and timely feedback on cases that have been escalated to MLRO and management.
  • Develop and participate in compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Provide relevant compliance reporting to the MLRO/Management to ensure the completion and proper analysis of suspicious activity reports that have been conducted.
  • Ensure detailed and prompt investigation of all AML/CTF incidents and cases.
  • Manage the resolution of cases through internal and external communications.
  • Help with identifying any AML/CTF loopholes and coordinating projects to bridge those gaps.
  • Develop and ensure that the team conducts compliance awareness and refresher training.
  • Consistently seek ways to improve the AML processes and initiate automation or enhancement of current systems/processes.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in any other projects/matters as advised.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. Diploma in AML, Compliance) would be an advantage.
  • Minimally 7 years of AML/Compliance experience in the financial industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good data analysis skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
