JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters related to Offshore Wind and Offshore Substation projects.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of international and local regulations (e.g., BOEM, DESNZ, BOE, environmental, safety, maritime regulations).
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements, flag requirements, and industry best practices; develop and update compliance plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of offshore substation designs and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory compliance documents and assist with permit applications, safety cases, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Review third-party reports and provide critical feedback and recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for regulatory compliance and technical safety.
  • Set objectives, monitor team performance, and provide career development guidance.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on regulatory compliance and technical safety issues.
  • Provide regulatory compliance support during bidding, marketing, and procurement activities.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, classification societies, and third parties for approvals and certifications.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to meet regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare regular compliance status reports for the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff awareness of regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs and compliance within the offshore industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of international and local regulations for offshore wind and substation design.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
  • Experience preparing and submitting regulatory compliance documents and permit applications.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of offshore wind and offshore substations (high voltage systems, grid connection, marine engineering).
  • Proven leadership experience in leading teams, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance management software tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for regulatory meetings and site visits.
