Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking aCompliance professional to provide commercial risk management, regulatory and governance support in Asia Pacific, with focus on Singapore and Australia. You will assist with MAS/ASIC filings, policy updates, and monitoring regulatory developments.

The role requires a degree in legal/accounting/business/finance and at least 3 years in investment management or real estate. Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day compliance operations for LaSalle Asia Pacific, especially Singapore and Australia.
• Maintain compliance calendar, MAS/ASIC filings, attestations, and policy reviews.
• Draft, review and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide updates to the business.
• Coordinate the firm’s compliance technology platform and attestations.
• Assist in regulatory licensing matters and respond to queries.
• Review marketing materials for regulatory alignment.
• Participate in regional/global compliance initiatives and projects.
• Conduct AML/KYC processes for investors and counterparties.
• Support onboarding, training, and books/records obligations.

Position Overview

To provide commercial risk management, compliance, regulatory and governance support to the business in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vice President, Legal and Compliance Counsel in day-to-day compliance operations for LaSalle Asia Pacific, with a focus on LaSalle Singapore (CMS-licensed entity) and LaSalle Australia (AFS-licensed entity)
• Maintenance of compliance calendar and register - including MAS and ASIC filings, attestations, periodic reviews, policy review cycles and regulatory submission windows
• Support the drafting, review and periodic updates of compliance policies and procedures
• Monitor MAS and ASIC circulars and regulatory developments and provide relevant updates to the business, as appropriate
• Administer and coordinate the firm’s compliance technology platform – tracking of MAS and ASIC appointed representative obligations, attestations, requests etc.
• Assist in audit, regulatory and licensing matters – including compilation and submission of regulatory returns and filings and responding to ad-hoc and routine regulatory queries and client DDQs, where applicable
• Review of marketing materials in line with regulatory requirements
• Participate and provide support in regional and / or global compliance initiatives and projects
• Conduct AML / KYC processes on investor and counterparties in line with firm’s AML / CTF policy
• Assist with compliance monitoring and testing activities and in the preparation of related reports
• Support compliance onboarding and training
• Support compliance with LaSalle books and records obligations

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in either legal, accounting, business or finance
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in the investment management industry – real estate preferred but not necessary
• Highly analytical with good sense of understanding of the investment management industry
• Detail oriented, motivated and willing to learn; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Commercial attitude and enjoy working in team-driven environment with a collaborative spirit
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work with colleagues across Asia Pacific and globally
• Comfortable with adopting and using new technology tools, including AI-based tools and AI-assisted workflows
