Job summary

Recruit 123 Pte Ltd is assisting a veterinary clinic to hire a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Singapore. The role covers clinical care, surgeries, and client education for companion animals in a full-service practice.

The successful candidate will participate in preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration with a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine/Science from a recognised institution.
• Valid registration with the Singapore Veterinary Medical Board (or eligibility to obtain registration).
• Prior clinical experience in general practice preferred; new graduates may also be considered.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and teamwork.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends/public holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain the health of animals through preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of sick and injured patients.
• Perform consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures for dogs, cats, and other companion animals.
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, general care, medical conditions, and treatment options.
• Communicate promptly and effectively with clients regarding the progress of hospitalised patients and laboratory results.
• Educate clients on zoonotic diseases and infections transferable from animals to humans.
• Liaise closely with fellow veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance veterinary skills and knowledge.
• Support euthanasia procedures with compassion and professionalism where required.
