Job summary

SPD is seeking a driver and client care assistant to support transportation and in-centre care for rehabilitation and day programmes. You will ferry clients, assist mobility, monitor basic health indicators, and help with exercises and daily needs.

Role requires a valid Class 3 driving license, at least 1 year in patient care, and strong communication skills. Weekend or after-hours work may be required to ensure seamless care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' or 'N' Levels with at least 1 year working experience on patient care.
• Class 3 Driving License.
• Basic caregiving knowledge and/or certification in healthcare support would be advantageous.
• Effective problem-solving skills, good communications and interpersonal skills.
• May be required to work weekends or after-office hours if necessary.
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role (transfers, mobility, lifting).

Responsibilities

• Ferry clients to and from home and centre for rehabilitation or day programmes.
• Assist clients in ambulation and movement in centre and during transfers.
• Conduct basic health monitoring (temperature, vitals).
• Support clients in performing prescribed exercises (individual and group).
• Provide assistance with basic needs (toileting, meals, feeding).
• Uphold infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with transportation arrangements for programme needs.
• Assist in administrative duties as required (attendance, incident reporting).
• Report clients' progress to Supervisor.
