About the Company

The General Room is a boutique coworking space dedicated to providing a stylish, modern, and no-frills environment where businesses can thrive. Conveniently located at 111 Somerset — just a 3-minute walk from Somerset MRT — our space features sophisticated and fully equipped business meeting rooms that cater to a variety of professional needs.

About the Role

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Community Executive (Contract) to join our team for 6 months, assisting our current Community Executive while our Community Manager is on maternity leave. In this role, you’ll support the smooth day-to-day running of our coworking space, from welcoming members and managing enquiries to helping with events and ensuring our space is always at its best. You’ll also assist with community engagement and social media updates to keep our members connected. Comprehensive training and a handover will be provided, so you’ll feel confident stepping in and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day community operations, including member relations, sales, and marketing.
  • Foster connections between members through community initiatives, introductions, event support, and member communications.
  • Handle sales inquiries (walk-ins, calls, emails, and internal/external leads).
  • Cover the front desk during business hours.
  • Support for events. Shift rotation is required when necessary.
  • Manage basic accounting functions: simple entries, vendor payments, and related tasks.
  • Conduct office tours and upsell space to prospective members according to their needs.
  • Coordinate smooth member move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with the Community Executive on social media and marketing efforts across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Contribute to achieving overall revenue goals.
  • Any other responsibilities to be assigned by superior from time to time.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Pleasant and approachable personality.
  • Results-driven and client-focused, with excellent multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; resourceful and able to work independently and as a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
  • Available to start in mid-October 2025.
What We Offer
  • Competitive remuneration
  • 5-day work week
  • Pro-rated annual leave and statutory medical leave in line with Singapore regulations
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment
  • A beautifully designed workspace that fosters collaboration and interaction with a diverse community
