Job summary

YMCA of Singapore is offering an internship in Community Engagement & Partnerships to support fundraising, partnerships and donor engagement initiatives. You will work with a dynamic CEP team to plan events, conduct market research and prepare presentations for funding growth.

You will contribute to process development, data organization and SOP documentation while gaining exposure to nonprofit fundraising in a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Passion for advocacy and fundraising to support community needs.
  • Sharp document prep and records management, including data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse people.
  • Effective written and verbal communication across platforms.
  • Tech-savvy with MS Office; Canva/Photoshop/web editing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising events and timelines.
  • Conduct market research on funding trends from foundations, family offices and corporations.
  • Compile findings into presentations to inform future fundraising initiatives and event planning efforts.
  • Assist in crafting an engagement plan to create opportunities for donors’ engagement and partnership outreach.
  • Leverage your analytical skills to organize data into a streamlined and intuitive structure for usage efficiency.
  • Work closely with team members to document standard operating procedures related to fundraising activities and partnership outreach.

JOB SUMMARY

You will be working with the energetic Community Engagement and Partnerships (CEP) team. CEP spearheads funding development and growth through partnerships, grants, sponsorships, and donations, for the purpose of creating social impact through YMCA’s programme which includes social work and services. The department is highly collaborative with other teams within the Programme Division and with social enterprise business units to develop, plan and execute funding growth initiatives.
