Community Engagement Manager
Role Overview

As a Community Engagement (Content) Manager, your responsibilities will span two key areas: Content Development and Community Engagement.

Content

You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to create original content and enhance existing material on digital platforms, such as a government developer portal. This includes crafting publications, thought leadership articles, and resources that may be featured on local or international platforms. You will also contribute to broader outreach initiatives targeting the tech and public service communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate technical content into engaging narratives suitable for a range of audiences including digital government leaders, product managers, software engineers, and public sector professionals.
  • Apply SEO best practices to ensure all content is search-optimized and user-friendly.
  • Plan and develop content strategies across multiple digital channels and platforms.
  • Create content templates and visual layout guides to enhance readability and user engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product teams, designers, and marketing professionals.
  • Be open to feedback and adapt quickly to revisions under tight timelines.
  • Conduct industry research to stay updated on trends and bring new ideas to the table.
Community Engagement

You will support the Community Engagement team in organizing and managing initiatives that build and sustain a vibrant tech-focused community within and beyond the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics and marketing efforts for community events and initiatives.
  • Lead and independently execute community engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-develop relevant and compelling content for community programs.
  • Draft promotional content for distribution across various channels including email newsletters and social media.
  • Manage and maintain the community membership database, including regular analysis of engagement metrics.
  • Provide support across various community-building activities beyond events.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in the tech industry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs.
  • Experience using SEO performance tools like Google Search Console.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in technology.
  • Good understanding of information architecture and content strategy.
  • Eagerness to learn and grasp technical concepts.
  • Experience in planning and managing events, particularly in the MICE sector, including AV setup and operations.
  • Basic proficiency in design and multimedia tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Comfortable working with and analyzing data using Excel.
