We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent language skills and relevant experience in translation, as well as marketing and communications roles.

You will support the implementation of the Bank's communication strategy and employee engagement initiatives. You will also produce various content types for online and offline communication efforts. Additionally, you will translate materials from English to Simplified Chinese and/or Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong) accurately and efficiently. There will also be opportunities to work on an innovative AI-driven project to enhance translation capabilities.

The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities include:

• Creating and managing communication materials such as videos, EDMs, publications, newsletters, and more.
• Supporting employee engagement and leadership communication initiatives, including CEO townhalls, managing logistics, and preparing content.
• Translating research and marketing documents from English to Simplified Chinese and/or Traditional Chinese, ensuring message retention.
• Proofreading translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
• Maintaining a glossary of financial terminologies specific to the Bank for translation purposes.
• Using translation software/tools to ensure consistency and increase efficiency.
• Supporting the formatting and delivery of translations.

Qualifications and experience:

• Proven work experience as a translator.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Simplified/Traditional Chinese, supporting both Singapore and Hong Kong markets.
• Strong knowledge of financial terminologies.
• Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in private banking or wealth management.
• Meticulous with high attention to detail.
• Adaptable, resourceful, with good multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with at least one computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool or translation management system (TMS).
• Experience with tools like Acrobat, InDesign, or Illustrator is a plus.
