Job description

Role & Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify suitable partner organizations with human interest stories (e.g. volunteers, beneficiaries, staff, community leaders).

  • Conduct and coordinate interviews with individuals featured in stories.

  • Create compelling editorial and social media content based on interviews and fieldwork.

  • Take photos and record short videos or reels to accompany content.

Social Media Management

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with project milestones and key messages.

  • Create, post, and schedule content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Monitor engagement metrics and community feedback. Ideally, the candidate will also be able to analyse social media performance and recommend content tweaks to improve reach and engagement.

Project Coordination

  • Liaise with partner organizations to ensure alignment on messaging, approvals, and scheduling.

  • Work closely with internal communications and project teams to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Support logistics for field visits and content-gathering sessions (e.g. scheduling interviews, securing consent, etc.).

Content Quality & Brand Consistency

  • Ensure all content adheres to MWS’ organizational tone, voice, and visual brand guidelines.

  • Maintain proper documentation and organization of content assets (e.g. photos, videos, transcripts).

Any other duties assigned by the Associate Director, Communications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, Media or a related discipline

  • 2-3 years of experience in Communications, social media, Journalism, or a related field

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, especially in crafting human-interest content.

  • Comfortable conducting interviews and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Working knowledge of social media tools and analytics platforms

  • Familiarity with visual content tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Passionate about social impact and community work
