Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1 . Communications & Digital Media

  • Content & Engagement:Assist in brainstorming, developing, and executing strategies to enhance audience engagement and awareness of CDE’s initiatives.

  • Social Media & Marketing:Support content creation for CDE’s social media platforms, ensuring alignment with its mission and objectives.

  • Event Communications:Help promote CDE’s events and programs by preparing and posting relevant content.

  • Marketing Materials:Assist in the design, review, and development of marketing collaterals, ensuring consistency with CDE’s branding guidelines.

  • Partnership Support:Help coordinate collaborations with media, influencers, and external partners to enhance CDE’s outreach.

  • Creative Support:Participate in photoshoots, providing input to ensure visual content aligns with CDE’s branding.

2. Administrative & General Support

  • Vendor Coordination:Assist in sourcing vendors, obtaining quotations, and ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Ad-hoc Support:Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director to support the communications team.

Period:

  • 6 months contract(renewable)

Location:

  • Pasir Panjang

Working Hours:

  • 9 am to 6 pm (Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend work for events)

Salary:

  • Up to $15 (depends on qualification)

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in communications, digital media, marketing, business, or a related field.

  • Strong English proficiency; knowledge of Malay, Tamil, or other dialect languages such as Filipino, Burmese is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools to create visuals for social media and web content.

  • Committed to supporting the well-being of migrant domestic workers (MDWs) and contributing to CDE’s mission.

  • Takes initiative, works independently when needed, and adjusts quickly to evolving tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Brings fresh ideas while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality in communications.

  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues, external partners, and stakeholders to support CDE’s initiatives.

  • Manages multiple tasks efficiently, meets deadlines, and ensures smooth execution of projects.

  • Respects diverse backgrounds and engages with MDWs and stakeholders with understanding and care.

  • Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively across different audiences.

  • Open to working on weekends when required for events and special projects.

  • Has a growth mindset, eager to develop skills in digital media and communications
