Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) seeks a capable Trading Assistant/Operations support professional to help manage daily commodity trading operations. You will handle trade capture, lifecycle management, and reconciliations, working closely with front office and brokers to ensure accurate processing.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in commodity markets, strong analytical and Excel skills, and familiarity with major trading systems such as TT, WebICE, and Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in commodity markets, preferably in a Trading Assistant, Middle Office, or Operations support role.
• Experience with trade, position, and valuation reconciliations involving clearing houses, brokers, fund administrators, and other counterparties.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills with exposure to commodity trading and market-data systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily commodity trading operations, including trade capture and trade lifecycle management.
• Reconciliations, break investigation, and resolution with brokers and counterparties.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, brokers, fund administrators, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate processing.
• Onboard new products, exchanges, brokers, and operational workflows.
