Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Project Manager/Commissioning Manager to lead site commissioning across diverse water treatment projects. You will drive schedules, budgets and quality while maintaining strict EHS standards and client satisfaction.

You will compile commissioning SATs, manage client relationships and mentor project teams, ensuring on-time handover and compliant project closure.

We design, supply and operate a range of water systems, from Oil & Gas applications to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio of technologies includes solids-contact clarification, membrane & media filtration, electrolysis, digestion, evaporation, ozone/UV disinfection and more. Our portfolio also includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Project Manager/ Commissioning Manager

Drive excellence in schedule, cost, quality and EHS.

Ensure that site commissioning and reporting guideline are being followed and are accurate.

Manage the compilation of commissioning SATs.

Manage customer relationships for all commissioning activities.

Manage the compilation of certification plant and its pre-requisites.

Reviews of project daily reports, issues and progress.

Support the timely commissioning, SCADA / ICs and required testing completion of all projects.

Reduce overall project cost through process change and cost out opportunities.

Drive zero punch list prior to client handover of project sites.

Manage workload and provide technical/functional leadership and expertise to direct reports or peers.

Develop and mentor team members.

Expertise in overall field operations Ensure process discipline on site and assign site teams based on project requirements to ensure contract requirements are met.

During execution, monitor project performance in all areas including cost, schedule, technical advisory services, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality.

Identify performance issues and provide the leadership to resolve issues and ensure the project success.

Execute all site activities and liaising with project teams, service teams, contractors, clients and Project Managers within the region.

Coach, Train co-team members, deliver training to client teams & others as required.

Responsible for project documentation including but not limited to: Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality, Cost, Continuous improvement and Compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Possess a University degree or certificate in Engineering, or at least 10 years’ proven work experience in water treatment field

Previous Commissioning Supervision experience in project execution activities

Be able to demonstrate you have the ability to technically and professionally prioritize, organize work, meet deadlines, multitask with limited direction.

Strong communication and influencing skills

Ability to learn other software applications (PLC testing) with addition to Google Suite software

Ability to work in and with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment – have strong Influencing skills and ability to communicate vision to clients.

Be customer focused, clear thinker, and detail oriented.

Experience and knowledge of water treatment systems and equipment. Ultra-Filtration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), EDR, EDI, MBR, MABR, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, UPW and chemical feed systems.

Experience with all water treatment equipment & analyzers.

Ability to travel, as needed
