Job summary

SESTO Robotics is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to lead verification and commissioning of autonomous mobile robot solutions in clinical environments. This project- and site-based role requires hands-on planning, coordination, and execution of system verification, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance before handover.

You will work closely with hospital consultants, software teams, and contractors on-site, ensuring clear documentation

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• T&C Strategy & Planning: Develop overall Testing & Commissioning master plans and strategies, defining clear testing methodologies, procedures, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Testing Execution: Prepare for and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Integrated System Testing (IST) procedures and scripts.
• System Verification: Ensure all testing activities demonstrate compliance with contract requirements, generating Requirement Traceability Matrices and logging defects.
• Documentation: Write comprehensive, detailed Method Statements and functional design specification documents.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work heavily on-site, coordinating closely with hospital consultants, main contractors, end-users, software engineers, and subsystem vendors throughout the deployment phase.
• Subsystem Supervision: Execute and supervise the testing of individual subsystems, providing technical clarifications and supporting consultant reviews.

Testing and Commissioning Engineer (Healthcare Robotics)

Department: MOB

Reporting to: Project Manager / CTO

Partnering Agency: Celotti Tech Talent

Salary: 5,000 SGD to 7,500 SGD + VB

Role Overview

The Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Engineer is the critical final checkpoint before our cutting‑edge automation solutions go live in clinical environments. This project- and site-based role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all system verification, testing, and commissioning activities for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).

You will ensure that the fully integrated AMR solution—spanning the robots, fleet management software, infrastructure interfaces, PLC systems, and hospital facility equipment—operates safely, reliably, and strictly in accordance with stringent healthcare project specifications prior to final handover.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Training:

• Essential: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Desirable: Training or certification in industrial networking or PLC systems.

Experience:

• Essential: Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in testing and commissioning.
• Desirable: Highly advantageous if you have experience in hospital/healthcare automation, logistics automation, or working within active construction projects and large‑scale facility integrations.

Skills & Technical Knowledge:

• Ability to interpret complex contracts and technical specifications into realistic, testable operational objectives.
• Strong capability in designing functional test scenarios and writing testing documentation for site construction.
• Bonus Points: Understanding of cybersecurity practices for OT/industrial systems, and networking concepts (firewalls).
