Description

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Cook to assist with basic food prep, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support smooth kitchen operations alongside our chefs and team.

Job Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking food:
This involves measuring ingredients, following recipes, and using various cooking techniques to prepare the food up to the head chef’s standards.

Ensuring food quality:
Cooks are responsible for ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the required standards and meet customer expectations.

Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen:
This includes cleaning workstations, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring proper food storage.

Assisting other staff:
Cooks may assist other cooks in preparing food, serving customers, or performing other kitchen duties.

Managing inventory:
This may involve checking stock levels, ordering new supplies, and ensuring proper food handling and storage.

Adhering to health and safety regulations:
Cooks must follow all food safety and hygiene regulations according to SFA to ensure the safety of food and prevent contamination.

Qualification:

  • Have a background of working in restaurants/cafe or qualification from culinary institution
  • All recipes will be taught and guided according to head chef.
