Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Commis Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Cook, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to support daily kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in proper working condition.
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie or other senior kitchen staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Help with basic food prep duties, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
- Dispose of waste properly and contribute to maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout the day.
- Participate in stock rotation and inventory management as directed.
- Show a willingness to learn and take initiative in improving skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not required (on-the-job training will be provided).
- Passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
