The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the sourcing strategy for products and services required by the company. This includes identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The Sourcing Manager will collaborate closely with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure that the organization receives the highest quality goods and services at the most competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Selection & Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and service capabilities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure the best value for the company.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure all contracts adhere to company policies.
Sourcing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a steady supply of materials and services, aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and efficiencies in the supply chain.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, emerging suppliers, and new sourcing opportunities.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., procurement, logistics, R&D, and finance teams) to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Provide input and support for product development and innovation by sourcing new suppliers and materials.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and report key sourcing metrics (e.g., cost savings, supplier performance, compliance rates) to senior leadership.
- Analyze sourcing data to make informed decisions and optimize procurement processes.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications / Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in any relevant field, with no prior work experience.
- Strong discipline and meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at sourcing lithium batteries and raw materials, as well as navigating the supply market.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and eager to acquire new skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Possessing a pleasant demeanor, maturity, initiative, resourcefulness, and effective communication skills with team members.
- A collaborative team player, yet able to work independently.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
