Commercial Sales Manager – Rachelle The Rabbit Distillery

Location: Singapore (with regional travel as needed)
Reports to: Co-founders


Position Overview

This role is with Rachelle The Rabbit Distillery (RTR) , Singapore’s largest distillery , known for crafting its proprietary brand, Compendium Spirits , alongside new brands and product lines in development. As RTR undergoes a transformation in its brand identity and structure , the Commercial Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening key partnerships .


The Commercial Sales Manager is directly responsible for sales performance , sourcing and managing on-trade (bars, restaurants, hotels) and off-trade (retail, distributors, duty-free) accounts locally and regionally. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, negotiating strategic partnerships, and leading trade activations to drive revenue growth.


This position offers a highly competitive remuneration package , including a base salary plus a high commission structure tied to sales performance , providing strong earning potential for a results-driven candidate.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Expansion

  • Own and drive sales performance , ensuring revenue targets are met and exceeded.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in both on-trade and off-trade channels.
  • Build and manage relationships with key accounts, including distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners in Singapore and reginal markets .
  • Expand RTR’s distribution network in key regional markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, and etc .
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to optimize existing partnerships and penetrate new markets.

2. Brand & Commercial Strategy

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand campaigns.
  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to increase visibility and sell-through rates.
  • Monitor competitor activities and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiate and manage exclusive distribution agreements, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns .

3. Partnership & Event Activation

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships to strengthen RTR’s presence in key markets.
  • Work with bars, hotels, and premium retail chains to develop RTR-exclusive cocktails and promotions.
  • Support RTR’s participation in trade shows, whisky festivals, and industry networking events .
  • Collaborate with Anthology Bar (RTR’s cocktail bar) to leverage RTR’s brand house for customer engagement and education.

4. Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Track and analyse sales performance metrics , providing insights to optimize strategies.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market insights for senior management.
  • Manage pricing structures, stock levels, and logistics coordination with distributors.

Key Requirements

  • 6+ years of sales or business development experience in the alcohol, spirits, or FMCG industry .
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of on-trade and off-trade sales dynamics .
  • Existing network of contacts in the alcohol distribution and retail industry is a plus.
  • Experience in export markets and regional sales is highly preferred.
  • Passion for premium spirits, craft cocktails, and whisky culture .
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills .
  • Ability to travel regionally for market development.
