About the Team & Role

At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time. The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with internal stakeholders to design the company's advertising policies, implement content review processes, and more. As we continue to add advertising on TikTok, this team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ad experience for the community.

This Commercial Product Risk Analyst role requires complex problem-solving skills, excellent ability to measure and identify risk trends to inform policy and enforcement solutions. The role requires expertise in data and emerging technology policy issues related to commercial content. In this role, you'll work closely with data science, product, product operations, public policy, legal, and communications across the platform to drive major cross-cutting policy-led product solutions to enable safe advertising that synthesizes the company’s product approach, and develop programs that are most needed to drive the policy outcomes most critical to the company’s commercial strategy. You should be a proactive self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem solver who is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of and familiarity with the stakeholders and perspectives in the policy community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain programs including systems, policies, and resources to support cross-issue commercial priorities.
  • Identify, investigate, monitor, assess and clearly communicate emerging risks in commercial products.
  • Develop and identify opportunities to improve processes, protocols and policies to mitigate risk, that are scalable and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact to provide ad-hoc and regular risk investigations support on commercial products to different stakeholders in Product, Sales, Risk Control, Government Affairs, Policy, Legal and Communication teams to understand and mitigate risks.
  • Work in collaboration with the rest of the team to build a strong understanding of risks and policies of Commercial Products on the platform.
  • Maintain knowledge of global and regional industry trends in the advertising space and new risks to ensure organizational risks are mitigated.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of risk investigations and operational experience, preferably in online operations, trust & safety, consulting, business analytics, or intelligence research environment.
  • Experience in and/or demonstrable knowledge of domains such as risk, payments, ecommerce, product risk, and/or online advertising.
  • Experience conducting complex analyses and translating the results into recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL or Python.
  • Previous experience working with international partners across multiple markets and timezones.
  • Experience developing and executing risk governance strategy.
