Contract Management
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure all contract terms and obligations are clearly understood and implemented.
- Manage change orders, claims, and variations effectively.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Forecast project costs and cash flows.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
Tendering & Bidding
- Lead the commercial aspect of tender submissions.
- Prepare cost estimates and pricing strategies.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for inclusion in tenders.
Project Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost-to-complete reports, and cash flow projections.
- Provide financial insight and advice to project management teams.
- Track profitability against targets and identify deviations.
Risk Management
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Maintain proper documentation to support claims and defend against disputes.
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and partners on commercial matters.
- Support internal project teams with contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain audit trails and ensure proper documentation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage a team of quantity surveyors, contract administrators, or commercial officers.
- Mentor and develop team members’ commercial acumen.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:
Quantity Surveying
Civil Engineering
Construction Management
Business Administration
Or other related fields
Work Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in commercial or contract management
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial role within tunneling or large-scale civil/infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in:
Administering and negotiating EPC or D&B contracts
Managing costs, variations, claims, and contractual disputes
Working on mega projects, preferably involving tunnel boring machines (TBM) or NATM techniques
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong understanding of:
Contract law, procurement practices, and commercial risk
Project costing, financial forecasting, and cash flow management - Proficiency in:
MS Excel, cost control software (e.g., Candy, CCS, Oracle Primavera), and ERP systems - Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work in high-pressure environments
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused mindset
