Job Descriptions

  • To manage the day-to-day commercial activities, reporting and the effective timely delivery of business development, identifying prospects that become realistic winning tender opportunities aligned with strategy;

  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients

  • To monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and opportunities.

  • To recommend strategies to improve win rate and profitability

  • To develop and maintain an effective digital external client contact detail and correspondence records database

  • To ensure a timely and effective initiation, response and senior management reporting of client's vendor/supplier registrations, RFIs, prequalification and tender inquiries;

  • To assess, record technical, commercial, contractual risks during the tender phase and ensure they are adequately addressed in the proposal preparation;

  • To assist as necessary in estimating and proposal preparation in liaison with department heads and senior management according to approved procedures in order to deliver proposals to clients on time.

  • To continuously seek, develop and manage market opportunities for building Company revenue streams according to short and long-term objectives.

  • To develop, keep updated and utilize effective documented procedures related to business development, commercial, estimating and proposal management;

  • To constantly monitor the marketplace by whatever passive and active participation deemed necessary to provide effective market participation and expansion advice reporting to the senior management.

  • To keep informed of technology development and resulting ways to provide a competitive advantage to the Company to adopt and grow additional strategically aligned profitable revenue streams.

  • To maintain an ethical and positive work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels;

  • To evaluate the performance of personnel reporting to the Commercial Manager;

  • To abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, led by personal example, and encourage all employees to conduct their activities according to Company policies and client requirements.

  • To lead and coordinate tender preparation, pricing, and submission.

  • To evaluate commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies.

  • To review, negotiate, and finalize contracts and subcontracts.

  • To ensure compliance with legal, safety, and technical standards.

  • To administer variations, claims, and invoicing in line with contractual terms.

  • To supervise commercial and tendering team members.

  • To coordinate with operations, finance, legal, and technical departments.

Required Qualification & Experiences

  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferably technical/ engineering)

  • Offshore experience in the subsea sector, preferably in commercial diving, ROV, or hydrographic survey supporting IRM, and construction works.

  • At least 15 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas subsea IRM and construction in a commercial, marketing & business development function, including at least 8 years of direct estimation & proposal experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of leading and managing commercial function.
