Location/Division Specific Information

This position is located in Singapore, within our Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). As a Commercial Leader, you will lead sales and central initiatives in a fast-paced and competitive market.

A day in the Life:

  • Develop channel commercial plans to achieve and exceed growth targets working closely with local commercial teams, business unit and marketing functions.

  • Initiate, build and develop relationships with key customer accounts promoting business opportunities. Be the Thermo Fisher Scientific brand ambassador in the country

  • Portfolio includes (but not limited to) Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM), Measurement Control & Sample Identification (MCS) & Production, Process & Analytics (PPA)

  • Use SalesForce (SFDC) CRM as the primary reporting tool. Accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling and meeting sales objectives

  • Assess and measure channel partner performance using channel management framework. Constantly looking at initiatives to drive channel motivation and customer engagements

  • Lead both direct and indirect businesses and work closely with CAD service/application teams to an outstanding customer experience

  • Successfully communicate with the regional Marketing team to develop local marketing plan and promote products with channel partner catering to local demands and opportunities

  • Attend trade conferences, seminars and engagement sessions for CAD business

  • Support our channel partners to improve sales and product proficiencies. Coordinate relevant training and supporting collaterals against competition.

  • Provide regular, timely feedback on business development for the Singapore market

  • Conduct due diligence, and ensure channel compliance to Thermo Fisher policy

  • Leverage the One Thermo Fisher Singapore value proposition to expand sales opportunities to grow the CAD business

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Engineering field (or related)

Experience

  • 7+ years of direct sales experience and commercial experience in handling distributors across research, industrial, pharma, defence and government sectors in the Singapore market

  • Strong in Instrument sales (analytical) and leading large scale projects within Singapore

  • Familiar with government tender processes

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Expectation on high frequency of sales field visits to drive the business. Able to travel within the region for meetings/trainings.
