Job Description
Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the marine industry? We’re seeking a motivated Commercial Executive who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building strong client relationships, managing tenders, and driving commercial success.
Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with clients and establish new contacts.
- Attend daily and weekly Commercial Meetings.
- Handle tendering processes, including managing complaints and disputes by negotiating settlement agreements; ensure all RFQ technical, regulatory, and commercial compliance.
- Update Inquiry Masterlist, Quotation Masterlist, Subcontractor Masterlist, QS Server Folder, and ERP.
- Prepare handover of awarded tenders.
- Update Weekly Integrated Meeting reports.
- Review and approve PO/WO raised by SCM.
- Source, select, and review subcontractors with the assistance of the Operations team.
- Assist in raising change orders during the construction stage.
- Assist with Service Reports as requested by the Operations team.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent.
- Certifications related to contract management, procurement, or project management (e.g., MRICS, PMP) are a plus.
- Preferred 2–4 years of relevant experience in a commercial, contracts, or tendering role, ideally in construction, marine, or oil & gas industries.
- Experience handling RFQs, tenders, purchase orders, and subcontractor engagement processes.
- Familiarity with project handover procedures and cost tracking during construction.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, contractual terms, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting quotations, proposals, and contract documents.
- Familiarity with procurement practices, including sourcing and evaluating subcontractors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, especially when dealing with complaints and disputes.
- Detail-oriented and structured in managing commercial data.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and participate in cross-functional meetings.
