Primary Function

Responsible as Commercial Excellence Director APAC and APAC management team for providing tools and analysis to support business analysis and strategic direction on key programs such as:

  • Economic Profitability
  • Integrated Business Planning
  • Pricing management and monitoring
  • Contract and tender management
  • Sales Force effectiveness - Aspen and Domo
  • Distributor Management
  • Ad Hoc business analysis needs
Major Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the business unit, support the affiliates' commercial organization in growing the molecular diagnostics business, and be involved in marketing and business development to identify new product and market opportunities within molecular diagnostics in a specific geographic area.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies and tactics for the business unit across a designated geography.
  • Identify new business opportunities through expansion of existing products to maximize markets.
  • Support Commercial organizations including Marketing, Sales, and Service in achieving objectives.
  • Interface regularly with the country sales and marketing teams, coordinating efforts such as studies, meetings, symposiums, customer meetings, and trade shows to grow sales and profitability.
  • Lead Economic Profitability initiatives in APAC, providing support to management and countries on related queries.
  • Monitor progress in all APAC countries, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist with implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with analysts and financial controllers to set up and run IBP reviews monthly, analyze data, and ensure follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with Division requirements for IBP, aiming for continuous improvement of IBP metrics.
  • Assist with analysis of problematic areas and develop sustainable improvement strategies.
  • Implement and monitor a pricing standardization tool across APAC, including training and continuous improvement.
  • Develop commercial models and pricing strategies for new product launches, aligning with marketing strategies.
  • Evaluate and develop tools for contract and tender management, ensuring accessibility and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Analyze sales data from Aspen and Domo to optimize sales force effectiveness, focusing on key accounts and contacts.
  • Define key KPIs for easy understanding and quick issue identification.
  • Manage distributor relationships to ensure compliance and performance excellence.
  • Support APAC management with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technical, or Science disciplines.
  • Understanding of product technology, organizational structure, and customer needs worldwide.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and understanding of the sales process for molecular diagnostics products.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, R&D, or manufacturing.
  • Experience in finance is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills are required.
