ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking an Estimator who will perform accurate estimates for jobs in a shipbuilding context. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture, with a strong understanding of costing. You will be integral to managing costs and liaising with various teams to ensure project success. Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and realistic estimates for jobs as required in tender bids.
  • Source suitable subcontractors for specialized jobs and complex work.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed invoicing to achieve fair and better contribution margins.
  • Liaise with Shiprepair Manager and Project Supervisor on all quoted and additional jobs.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager or his designate in discussions of invoices for completed projects with attending Owner Representatives.
  • Assess subcontractors' invoices, discuss with relevant parties, and conclude bill settlement within the target timeframe.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture related studies.
  • Preferably 2 years of working experience in a Shipyard or Marine-related industry, but not a must.
  • Possess understanding of Estimation and Costing for projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project, if possible.
  • Knowledge in SAP, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is advantageous.

  • Location: 55 Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided).
  • 5-day work week.
  • Working hours: 7.25 am to 5.00 pm.
