The Commercial Director, New Openings - Asia Pacific (APAC) supports commercial management efforts for our APAC Hilton managed and franchise hotel portfolio with the goal of getting our newly opened and converted hotels ramped up quickly. Responsibilities include analyzing hotel/portfolio performance, developing commercial strategies, communicating Hilton best practices, providing property consultations, conducting remote performance audits, and facilitating training. Building effective relationships with Senior Commercial leadership, Brand teams, General Managers, and owners is essential. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to resolve business challenges. It involves recommending and coordinating commercial strategies for new and converted hotels within APAC, and providing critical analysis on company-wide decisions affecting pricing, occupancy, revenue goals, and brand sales strategies. The role must align with APAC regional priorities and work closely with regional commercial and brand partners.

Support Commercial Success of New Openings and Conversion Hotels

The Commercial Director will support the commercial success of all new openings, conversions, and management type conversions. This involves engaging with hotel teams and management companies to develop commercial action plans, provide strategic advice, and ensure full utilization of Hilton’s commercial engine. The role includes conducting monthly commercial reviews, working with regional teams to implement actions that drive market share, and ensuring smooth transitions from pre-opening to post-opening support. Tracking performance and identifying opportunities for improvement are key components.

Commercial Engine and Brand – Support and Collaboration

Act as a liaison with the brand team, collaborating with Brand Performance Support, RMCC centers, Hilton Worldwide Sales, E-commerce, and Marketing to achieve commercial objectives. Assist in preparing training materials and facilitate commercial discussions. Participate in meetings to stay informed about projects impacting commercial performance for new and converted hotels.

How You Will Make an Impact

Ensure hotel teams utilize best practices to maximize revenue, collaborate with partners, support the creation of opening models based on property typology, and adapt to local needs while deploying Hilton concepts. Build relationships with hotel management, commercial teams, and other disciplines. Communicate proactively with stakeholders, deliver concise presentations, motivate teams, develop relationships at all levels, maintain effectiveness under pressure, prioritize tasks, and react swiftly to challenges.
