Bloomberg Live Experiences delivers compelling news-making convenings that harness the power of our global, wide-reaching newsroom and enable our premium audiences with the actionable insights and meaningful connections they need to succeed in work and in life. We are seeking a seasoned, Hong Kong/Singapore-based Commercial Director to help accelerate the growth of our commercial event business across APAC. In this key role, you'll take ownership of the full event sales cycle—from prospecting and outreach to client consultation, proposal development, closing, and renewals. You’ll partner closely with a team of dedicated event and cross-platform sales professionals to deliver high-value sponsorships and event integrations. You will lead strategic outreach efforts, champion the Bloomberg value proposition, and help shape memorable event experiences that deliver measurable results. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role, ideal for a strategic seller who excels at cultivating trust, expanding existing client partnerships, and unlocking new business opportunities.

We'll trust you to:

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new event sponsorship opportunities

  • Engage clients and stakeholders with insightful questions to uncover business needs and tailor event solutions accordingly

  • Articulate Bloomberg’s unique market position and event offering to drive client interest and deal closure

  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring a premium, white-glove experience from proposal through post-event wrap-up

  • Coordinate with internal teams to seamlessly execute event deliverables and exceed client expectations

  • Manage renewals and upsells to expand client partnerships and support long-term growth across BLE and Bloomberg’s broader ecosystem

You'll need to have:

  • At least 10 years of experience in event sponsorship sales

  • Experience in project management tools and online systems including but not limited to Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Slack

  • Experience working with APAC clients across different sectors on global campaigns

  • Excellent presentation skills and high emotional intelligence

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities

  • Strong understanding of local markets and client landscapes within the APAC region, with the ability to leverage regional insights to drive business development and client engagement

  • Proven track record of revenue growth through consultative sales

  • Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent experience
