Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The role of Commercial Director set direction for the department and to develop and implement strategic buying plans for overall Guardian Health & Beauty Singapore to achieve company's financial goals and objectives, improve market share, customer satisfaction and productivity performances measures for the company.

  • In charge of commercial department which include category management, space planning and pricing strategy.

  • Achieve category sales, gross profit and income goals and objectives of all categories through monitoring trends within the market segments; developing strategies to grow the market share of all categories; and to plan strategies to counter competition.

  • Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to maximise newness / exclusivity / income / terms / offers to improve sales and profitability of category.

  • Develop, implement and monitor new product innovation opportunities, promotional strategies and festive programs through effective communication of the promotional details to appropriate members so that the strategies are executed smoothly and bring excitement and incremental sales to stores.

  • Develop and implement placement and planogram strategies that improve category turnover and positively influences customers' behaviour.

  • Work with other departments to drive omnichannel strategy via ensuring seamless end to end customer journey, enhancing customer engagement, and growing revenue across multiple sales channels, including online, in-store, and mobile platform.

  • Develop and implement a competitive pricing strategy that delivers value to our customers.

  • Establish a strong corporate label strategy to improve the sales and profitability of the company.

Requirements:

  • Possesses relevant experience, ideally within the retail or FMCG sector.

  • Experience in a customer-focused industry, possessing expertise in merchandising, marketing, and entrepreneurial skills.

  • Well-versed in industry trends and market dynamics, with excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate valuable insights.

  • Driven and highly adaptable with a collaborative mindset.

  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organized, decisive, determined, and persistent individual.
