Job summary

PhillipCapital, a leading financial services firm in Singapore, is hiring a Legal Executive to support commercial, contractual, and regulatory matters. The role involves drafting agreements, advising business units, and coordinating with compliance on governance initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB or equivalent, with at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in-house or in a law firm supporting financial institutions.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent law degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Called to the Bar or practising qualification is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (client agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts).
• Provide practical legal advice to business units on contractual and operational matters.
• Support new business initiatives by identifying legal considerations and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Assurance and Compliance on governance and regulatory implementation.
• Assist with legal due diligence for counterparties and strategic projects.
• Coordinate external legal counsel for specialized advice or litigation.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess business impact.
