Job Description Summary
This role is a key part of the Commercial Excellence function, responsible for the design, management, and execution of all sales incentives and variable compensation programs across AKA. The individual will lead efforts to align compensation strategies with business goals, ensuring programs are performance-driven, financially sound, and compliant.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Variable Compensation Plan (VCP) & Incentives Design:

  • Lead the annual design of VCPs, aligning with business strategy and market dynamics.
  • Analyze plan effectiveness and provide insights to Commercial Leadership and the VC Council.
  • Design short-term incentive programs tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop policies and standards for payouts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with global VC counterparts and stay informed on industry trends.

Variable Compensation & Incentives Execution:

  • Own all communications to VCP participants, including plans, targets, policies, and payout terms.
  • Execute incentive calculations and coordinate with HR/Finance for timely, accurate disbursements.
  • Manage dispute resolution and provide payout estimates and performance analyses.

Digitization & Process Improvement:

  • Lead the deployment of new VC tools and automation initiatives across AKA.
  • Collaborate with Digital Technology (DT), Finance, and Commercial Ops to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Validate tool accuracy and manage change communications to commercial teams.
  • Safeguard payout accuracy during and after tool implementation.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with Country Heads, SBU leaders, Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance to align compensation frameworks with global and regional strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering data-driven recommendations.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and mitigate operational risks.

Salesforce Effectiveness:

  • Use analytics to assess commercial team performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders to enhance sales productivity and effectiveness.

Financial Governance & Budget Planning:

  • Work with Finance to manage accruals, budgets, and forecasts for VC programs.
  • Implement tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure financial compliance.
  • Maintain audit trails and oversee payroll disbursements in coordination with HR and Finance.

Regulatory Compliance & Dispute Resolution:

  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure compensation programs meet regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Oversee dispute resolution processes with fairness and transparency.
  • Maintain documentation to support audits and regulatory reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, sales compensation, or salesforce effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large, unstructured datasets.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of responsiveness and adaptability.
  • Proven ability to work independently and influence in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Strong facilitation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial data and budgeting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with compensation/incentive tools (e.g., Oracle Fusion) is a plus.
