About the job

The Revenue to Cash Operations team manages Google's Revenue-to-Cash processes globally across all product areas, including Ads, Digital Goods, Cloud, and Hardware. We ensure Google’s business is transformed to cash in an efficient, controlled, and compliant manner. This team powers Google's ambitious growth agenda by creating innovative ways to manage the complex set of billing and payment transactions, making processes more efficient and scalable, minimizing operational risk, integrating Google acquisitions and new products, connecting with new payment and invoicing partners, and so much more.

The Singapore-based APAC Collection Ops team provides exceptional support to some of Google's largest clients across Asia. We rely heavily on creative problem-solving to fix issues at the root cause. We discuss payments outcomes and triage complex payment blockers. We are product-agnostic, and we collect on nearly all of Google's actively monetizable products. We are trusted advisors to the business, our clients, and other Finance teams within the Cash and AR Management team (CARMA) organization (and beyond).

As a Collections Operations Associate, you will be part of a high performing team that interfaces with the invoice to cash operations processes for Google’s customers by collecting cash and solutioning various blockers from customers lead to timely payment to Google. You will manage collections efforts for a portfolio of customers or a cluster of countries that includes some of the most strategic and robust Ads, Cloud or Hardware partners. You will lead the conversations with sales leads and the sales support team to influence the financial disciplines to maximize Google's cash flow.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with counterparts on the external customer as well as internal business side to understand the billing and payments experience for Google clients.
  • Leverage understanding of customer needs, Google’s products and systems to identify and proactively address drivers of non-payment. Provide ongoing consultation and support to stakeholders on questions related to Google’s policies and processes.
  • Partner with Operations Management and Collections to process tower to surface operational feedback and address process gaps/issues.
  • Advocate customer adoption of process changes and new platform offerings to improve billing and payment experience and provide customer feedback to Process and Product Management teams.
  • Drive resolution on billing and payment problems by troubleshooting issues faced, understanding root cause, and interfacing with finance, sales and product teams to drive quick and efficient resolution
