Job summary

A café in Singapore is seeking a friendly and responsible barista to greet customers, prepare quality coffee, and manage stock. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a positive attitude. Experience is preferred but training may be provided. This role requires weekend and public holiday availability.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a barista or in a customer service role is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques (training may be provided).

Overview

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take and process orders accurately, answer coffee-related questions, and make suitable recommendations based on customer preferences. Handle customer feedback or complaints courteously and professionally.

Coffee Preparation
  • Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and other café menu items to quality standards
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
Inventory & Supplies
  • Monitor stock levels of coffee, food, and consumables
  • Place orders with suppliers, track deliveries, and manage stock rotation to minimize wastage
Additional Duties
  • Handle payments and operate the cash register accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workspace, dining area, and equipment
  • Assist with stock management and storage organization
  • Support miscellaneous in-house tasks as required to ensure smooth café operations
Job Requirements
