Job summary

II-VI Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a sandblasting operator to clean and prepare coating equipment and tooling. You will set up and operate a blast booth, remove debris, and ensure compliance with work instructions and safety rules.

This role requires rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and public holidays, and the ability to work in a clean room. You must tolerate high noise levels and continuous standing and bending, handle chemicals, and wear tight-fit respirators as needed.

Qualifications

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shift including weekend and public holiday.
• Comfortable to work in a clean room environment.
• High noise level and continuous standing and bending.
• Some chemical exposure.
• Handle radioactive material (ThF₄) NEA R1 license required.
• Required to wear tight-fit respirator when necessary and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting of coating equipment and tooling.
• Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
• Prepare evaporation materials and maintain the sandblasting area.
• Perform all duties, work instructions and standard procedures.
• Comply with cleanliness and safety requirements.
