Job summary

CHawk Technology Int'l (Singapore) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a CNC Supervisor to lead daily CNC machining operations, ensure production targets and quality standards are met, and drive safety compliance.

You will coach and mentor CNC machinists and setters, coordinate with Engineering, QA and Production, and look for continuous improvement opportunities to shorten cycle times and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

About the role

The CNC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CNC machining department to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are met. This role supervises CNC machinists and operators, coordinates production activities, ensures machine efficiency, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervised daily CNC machining operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Managed a team of CNC operators, setters, and technicians.
• Ensured compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Conducted first-off inspections and resolved machining quality issues.
• Investigated NCRs and implemented corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinated machine maintenance, tooling management, and production planning.
• Optimized machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Worked closely with Engineering, QA, and Production departments to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepared production reports, manpower planning, and machine utilization records.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior/management from time to time.

About you

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 year of working experience in a manufacturing line, preferably in plastics or semiconductors
• 5.5 days' working week and must be able to support overtime
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a high mixed, low volume production environment
• Team player with a \"can-do\" attitude and willingness to learn new skill sets
