Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Singapore seeks skilled machinists to set up, operate and maintain a range of conventional and CNC machines within our precision engineering cell. You will read blueprints, use measuring gauges, perform basic troubleshooting, keep accurate shop records and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements include a NITEC in Precision Engineering and at least 2 years in a precision environment with good English.

Qualifications

NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years working experience in a precision engineering environment.
Basic command of written and spoken English.
Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and maintain CNC and conventional machines (Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching).
Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspection checks.
Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Maintain shop records; follow technical drawings and instructions.
Keep work areas, benches and machinery tidy and clean after use.
Notify Supervisor of any machine or tooling problems affecting quality or safety.
Engage in additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
