Job description

Working Hours:
Mondays to Fridays, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Remuneration:
Up to $4,200 basic + Variable Bonus + AWS

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the CNC machining department, including scheduling work, monitoring productivity, and troubleshooting issues.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the CNC machining team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to optimize workflows and implement process improvements.

  • Develop and implement training programs to upskill the CNC machining team.

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure the final products meet the highest standards.

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to CNC machining operations.

  • Assist in planning and execution of preventative maintenance on CNC machines.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a CNC machining lead or supervisory role, preferably in the Trades & Services or Fitters, Turners & Machinists industries.

  • Strong technical expertise in CNC programming, automation set-up, operation and robotics, with a deep understanding of machine capabilities and limitations.

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team, with a focus on training and development.

  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and safety standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in CNC Milling and Turning.

  • Experience in automation robotics machinery.
