Job description

The CNC Lathe Setter/Operator operates and maintains CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC turning processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce components based on technical drawings.
  • Load raw materials and tools into machines and perform necessary calibrations.
  • Monitor machine operations, make tool offsets and adjustments as needed to maintain tolerances.
  • Perform regular quality checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to machining, tooling, and material inconsistencies.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and output targets.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC lathe/turning operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools.
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and safety procedures.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8.30 am to 6.00pm
