Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers within the Cloud & Third-Party Security group. You will hire, mentor, and drive technical direction while collaborating with stakeholders across Google to reduce risk in our cloud usage.

The role requires strong coding in Java, Python, Golang, or C++, plus leadership experience managing engineers across teams and sites. This is a full-time role based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in Java, Python, Golang, C++ or equivalent codebases.
• 3 years building software for data privacy or security (e.g., IAM).
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of software engineers to identify and remediate security gaps in cloud usage.
• Drive the technical roadmap to support risk reduction goals and maintain technical excellence.
• Oversee projects and influence strategies across security and software teams.
• Partner with cross-functional roles to define requirements for security controls rollout.
• Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture through mentorship and career development.
