This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, software development workflows, and platform engineering principles. The Technical Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering teams, DevOps, security, and governance stakeholders to deliver a seamless and efficient cloud experience for developers.

The detailed key responsibilities include:

1. Cloud Platform Strategy and Vision:

- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for improving the cloud platform to support development teams effectively.

- Identify pain points in the current cloud infrastructure and prioritize solutions to enhance developer productivity and platform scalability.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with software engineers, platform engineers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design and implement cloud solutions that meet development needs.

- Partner with security and governance teams to ensure compliance while reducing unnecessary restrictions that hinder development.

3. Technical Leadership:

- Leverage your software and platform engineering background to guide technical decisions and ensure the platform is built with best practices.

- Advocate for modern cloud-native technologies, tools, and processes (e.g., containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code).

4. Developer Experience (DevEx) Focus:

- Streamline the development process by improving tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities on the cloud platform.

-Ensure the platform provides a seamless onboarding experience for new developers and reduces friction in day-to-day workflows.

5. Governance and Compliance:

- Collaborate with governance teams to establish policies that balance security and compliance with developer agility.

- Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing mechanisms to maintain visibility and control over the platform.

6. Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all cloud platform-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to executive leadership and other stakeholders.

7. Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the cloud platform improvements.

- Continuously gather feedback from developers and stakeholders to iterate and improve the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering orplatform engineering, with a strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role, managing complex technical projects and delivering results.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience working with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to implement secure and compliant cloud solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
