Job summary

Bitdeer, a world-leading technology company for Bitcoin mining and AI cloud, seeks an engineer to join our GPU cloud team in Singapore. You will design and integrate cloud storage architectures, develop DPU-assisted data paths, and manage VM storage using KVM/QEMU, VirtIO, and SR-IOV.

Strong Linux storage, RDMA, and scripting skills are required for high‑throughput, low‑latency storage across multi-region deployments.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Linux Storage Architecture (Block Device, Device Mapper, LVM, Filesystems).
• Proficiency in the Linux IO Stack (io_uring, AIO, NVMe, NVMe-oF).
• Strong expertise in RDMA technologies (RoCE, InfiniBand, verbs).
• Hands-on experience with KVM/QEMU, libvirt, VirtIO.
• Familiarity with Linux Networking fundamentals.
• Proficient programming skills in Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Storage Architecture & Integration: Lead the cloud platform storage architecture design and implement the integration of commercial storage solutions into the cloud environment.
• DPU Storage Data Path: Design and implement storage data paths using DPUs to achieve seamless synergy across compute, networking, and storage.
• Host Storage Stack Management: Manage and optimize the Host storage stack, including NVMe, NVMe-oF, RDMA, Multipath, File Systems, and Block Devices.
• VM Storage Architecture: Design and manage KVM/QEMU virtual machine storage solutions utilizing VirtIO Block, VirtIO SCSI, PCI Passthrough, VFIO, and SR-IOV.
• Volume Lifecycle Management: Oversee provisioning, mounting/attaching, detaching, snapshotting, and resizing cloud volumes.
• Performance Tuning: Conduct deep-dive performance optimizations focusing on IO latency analysis, IOPS optimization, RDMA tuning, and NUMA tuning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Network, Virtualization, GPU, and DPU teams to build and scale a high-performance GPU cloud platform.

About the team:

GPU training and inference at 10,000+ GPU, multi-region scale depend on high-throughput, low-latency storage that can sustain massive parallel I/O. We are looking for an engineer who deeply understands distributed file systems and can integrate distributed / parallel storage systems into our GPU cloud — covering performance, multi-tenancy, and reliability — while also owning the image / driver / registry pipeline on the node-delivery critical path.

What you will be responsible for:

• Storage Architecture & Integration: Lead the cloud platform storage architecture design and implement the integration of commercial storage solutions (e.g., VAST, DDN, Weka Storage) into the cloud environment.
• DPU Storage Data Path: Design and implement storage data paths using DPUs (e.g., NVIDIA BlueField) to achieve seamless synergy across compute, networking, and storage.
• Host Storage Stack Management: Manage and optimize the Host storage stack, including NVMe, NVMe-oF, RDMA, Multipath, File Systems, and Block Devices.
• VM Storage Architecture: Design and manage KVM/QEMU virtual machine storage solutions utilizing VirtIO Block, VirtIO SCSI, PCI Passthrough, VFIO, and SR-IOV.
