Job summary

Tencent in Singapore is seeking a motivated cloud operations engineer to support public cloud operations and management, including resource planning, cost optimization, and lifecycle governance.

You will help ensure reliable big data platforms, design highly available architectures, and participate in incident playbooks while learning in a fast‑paced cloud/data environment. This role emphasizes Linux, scripting, and cloud tooling to drive scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Basic Linux, networking, and containerization.
• Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Tencent Cloud, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell, or SQL).
• Interest in big data technologies (Hadoop/Spark/Flink) is a plus; hands-on experience not required.
• Experience with AI-assisted programming tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support public cloud operations and management, including resource planning, cost optimization, account governance, and cloud infrastructure lifecycle management
• Manage and ensure the reliability of big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Flink) in cloud environments
• Design highly available architectures tailored to business needs and define operational standards and incident playbooks
• Participate in technology choices, performance tuning, and stability enhancements for core infrastructure
