BCS is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary, and is an entity within the NETS Group. It manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including Fast And Secure Transfers (FAST), Inter-bank GIRO (IBG), Cheque Truncation System (CTS), and provides services for PayNow and SGQR Central Repository.

Responsibilities:

• Good knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud-native end-to-end architecture, including AWS and other providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
• Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns based on the application portfolio, for deploying services to the cloud.
• Demonstrate leadership by supporting decisions with research, explaining options, pros and cons, and recommendations.
• Maintain industry knowledge on the latest trends and technologies.
• Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural options for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other services.
• Contribute to DevSecOps activities and complex development tasks.
• Define optimal design patterns for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, design, build, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure solutions meet technical and functional requirements.
• Provide technical expertise for issue diagnosis and resolution, including workarounds and escalation.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions, managing scope and risk with project sponsors.
• Provide support and governance related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.
• Review and approve architectural standards and change requests.
• Define business and technology strategies.
• Identify top cloud architecture solutions to meet strategic needs.
• Design solutions for engineers to implement programmatically, including cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud architectures.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, and automation, with 5+ years in AWS or similar platforms (Azure, GCP), preferably in financial services.
• Practical expertise in AWS services.
• Experience designing and developing platform components or monitoring tools in cloud platforms.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of AWS architecture and design, with professional certification required.
• Proven contributions as a Cloud Expert in AWS.
• Ability to understand business needs from products, solutions, and markets in the cloud domain.
• Effective industry trend analysis and competitor solution evaluation.
• Programming skills to develop and demonstrate technologies in PoC.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and trends.
• Experience configuring and tuning cloud-hosted solutions.
• Experience with microservices, serverless, event-driven/reactive architectures.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and processes.
• Strong communication skills for reporting to management and stakeholders.
• Experience developing cloud models, business cases, architecture, security, infrastructure, network, and storage design.

Professional Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or other relevant certifications.
