Job summary

Univers is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to advance security across cloud infrastructure, platform security, and identity management. You will review designs from a security perspective and automate threat detection to protect Univers and its customers.

The role focuses on building a robust, resilient cloud environment, integrating SIEM/SOAR capabilities, and promoting secure coding practices across teams. Candidates with cloud certifications and strong automation skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of security controls management in major cloud environments (Azure/AWS/Google).
• Certification in cloud security (e.g., AZ-500, AWS) is a plus.
• Experience with threat detection, incident response, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders on security requirements and utilize best practices to meet them.
• Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure and Platform teams to lead initiatives and build security utilities.
• Build threat detection for a hybrid infrastructure spanning applications, containers, and IoT.
• Contribute to and lead communications with the team and other business units.
• Build and maintain a security roadmap to meet customer and regulatory demands.
• Respond promptly to customer-sponsored penetration tests.
• Develop, maintain, and promote security standards through workshops and knowledge sharing.
• Promote security and cloud best practices.
• Onboard and develop SIEM and SOAR systems for automated response.
