Job summary

Centience is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to safeguard its data and AI infrastructure in a Singapore-based environment. You will design encryption, manage IAM with least privilege, and monitor with AWS security services to prevent data exposure and breaches.

You will collaborate with the Head of Data Science & Analytics to ensure security is a foundation for ML development, with continuous improvement of incident response and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of cloud security engineering experience, AWS preferred.
• AWS Security Specialty certification required; CISSP/CISM/CEH preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS security services: GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, KMS, IAM, VPC, WAF, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector.
• Experience securing data platforms and with SIEM and security automation (Python, Lambda).
• Strong understanding of PDPA and GDPR in analytics/AI pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce end-to-end encryption and data security architecture across data stores and ML pipelines.
• Implement least-privilege IAM policies, MFA, federated identity, and automated privilege reviews.
• Operate monitoring with GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config and automate alerting for anomalies.
• Lead vulnerability management, CVE scanning, and SIEM integration for forensics.
• Develop and maintain secure DevSecOps practices and incident response playbooks.
