As a Cloud Sales Representative with AWS, you will be an important member of the sales organization supporting Public Sector customers. Your role includes driving the full sales process from prospecting new customers to expanding cloud adoption within existing accounts. Responsibilities include developing and managing a sales pipeline, identifying go-to-market strategies, building relationships with key decision-makers, and collaborating with partners and internal teams to create compelling solutions that deliver excellent customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess both sales and technical skills to build relationships, advise customers on AWS solutions, grow AWS usage, and expand platform adoption across business units. You will work with external contacts (prospects, customers, partners) and internal teams (Solution Architects, Technical Account Managers, Customer Success Managers) to meet sales goals and earn customer trust daily.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) focus on driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small, mid-market, and enterprise-level public sector accounts.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Acquire new customer contacts and build trust within new lines of business.
  2. Create and manage a sales funnel from start to finish, tracking opportunities in CRM (Salesforce).
  3. Educate customers on AWS products/services and promote success stories within the Public Sector.
  4. Collaborate with AWS Partners, Solution Architects, and Technical Account Managers on account planning and strategy.
  5. Work in a team environment with partners and internal teams.
  6. Drive adoption by collaborating with partners.
  7. Manage inbound sales leads and delegate as appropriate.
  8. Promote customer success stories and track engagement to refine sales messaging.
  9. Organize events and follow-ups in coordination with marketing resources.

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years in technology-related sales, business development, or account management.
  • Experience in enterprise sales and executing strategies in large multinationals.
  • Ability to engage with all levels from C-suite to developers/architects.
  • Proven success managing multiple accounts and exceeding expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B environment, especially high-tech products/services.
  • Experience with ASEAN Public Sector entities.
  • Understanding of AWS offerings and cloud technology (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
  • Ability to develop scalable sales programs.
  • Knowledge of sales tools like Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
