• Design, implement, and manage ultra-low-latency cloud and on-premises network infrastructure
• Optimize AWS and Aliyun network architecture, routing, and inter-region latency
• Perform packet-level troubleshooting and latency analysis across core trading systems

Leading global trading firm is seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support a mission-critical low-latency infrastructure used for high-frequency trading (HFT) across global markets. This is a high-impact role offering hands-on ownership of cloud and on-prem connectivity, performance tuning, and automation across Asia, and partnering with Europe, and North America counterparts.

The Position:

·Design, implement, and manage ultra-low-latency cloud and on-premises network infrastructure

·Optimize AWS and Aliyun network architecture, routing, and inter-region latency

·Perform packet-level troubleshooting and latency analysis across core trading systems

·Deploy and tune NGFWs (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower) to support secure, performant connectivity

·Build and maintain monitoring and automation tools using Python, Bash, or Ansible

·Collaborate closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams on performance optimization

The Candidate:

·3–7 years of network engineering experience, ideally in a trading, finance, or high-availability environment

·Strong hands-on knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, multicast, PTP)

·Proven experience with AWS and/or Aliyun cloud networking components

·Familiarity with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, and Arista/Cisco routing gear

·Comfortable with packet analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, tcpdump)

·Automation experience using Python, Bash, or Ansible for config management and monitoring

·Motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in live environments

Preferred Qualifications

·Experience with colocated infrastructure, market data distribution, or exchange connectivity

·Exposure to latency-sensitive tuning and timing sync protocols like PTP

·Familiarity with hybrid cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure) and secure cloud interconnect design

·Ability to thrive in fast-paced, global trading environments
