Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced infrastructure platform engineer to manage compute, storage, and virtualization across development, staging and production environments.

You will drive automation, IaC adoption, and robust monitoring while ensuring security, high availability, and alignment with enterprise standards. Collaboration with application teams and documentation duties are essential. Flexibility with on-site Singapore operations is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V).
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage and enterprise backup solutions.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V), including capacity monitoring, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring and observability solutions for all platform components using modern tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for platform-related incidents, conducting problem determination and resolution.
• Support containerisation initiatives and maintain container orchestration platforms for traditional workloads where applicable.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate platform provisioning and configuration management.
• Maintain backup, DR, and high‑availability solutions for critical platform components.
• Follow security controls implementation, including access management, security hardening, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with application teams to support platform stability, performance, and scalability requirements.
• Create and maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

Technical Requirements:
