WeiXin Group (WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem, leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom, and search functions. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. It is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead, and other products.

About the Role

WeChat is seeking software engineers with expertise in backend and web frontend development. Candidates should have experience in traditional 3-tier architecture (presentation, application, database), full-stack web development using a Node.js framework (Vue.js preferred), and proficiency in compiled languages such as Golang, C, C++, or Rust. The role involves collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, security engineers, test engineers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to develop internal tools and security systems for global user safety.

• Ensure site reliability by managing deployment, scaling, and maintenance of online services serving over a billion users
• Work with developers to test and diagnose issues with new services, infrastructure, or code before and after deployment
• Manage high-severity incidents impacting users, focusing on monitoring, alerts, and rapid recovery
• Conduct stress testing to optimize system performance and reliability
• Develop automation tools to eliminate manual operations and improve reliability
• Maintain documentation and SOPs for efficient operations worldwide

Who We Look For

• Degree in Engineering or related fields
• Experience in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps for major internet services
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Bash, Go, or Python
• Strong command of Linux OS, including kernel, memory, processes, threads, libraries, IPC, RPCs, and signals
• Understanding of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP, and ICMP
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and familiarity with CAP theorem
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Zabbix
• Strong ownership, reliability, and integrity
• Passion for automation and eliminating manual tasks
• Fast learner and team player
• Fluent in English and Mandarin for international communication
