Job summary

Glints in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer to own the Azure cloud engineering scope on-site. You will translate solution architectures into secure, repeatable IaC environments, manage containerized workloads with AKS, and implement governance across production and non-production systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of Azure cloud experience, strong IaC and CI/CD skills, and a focus on security and reliability within enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience.
• Deep Azure expertise across networking, IAM, compute, storage, monitoring and security.
• Experience with Terraform for IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong understanding of hub-spoke networking and private endpoints.

Responsibilities

Our client is a leading energy utility and sustainable energy solutions provider in Singapore, empowering the region's transition toward a greener energy future. To ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of their enterprise cloud infrastructure, they are seeking a hands‑on Senior Cloud Engineer. Operating on‑site in Singapore, this role will own the Azure cloud engineering scope—translating solution architectures into secure, repeatable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments, managing containerized and network‑integrated workloads, and establishing operational governance across production and non‑production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure Infrastructure Provisioning: Design, provision, configure, and maintain production and non-production Azure environments following approved architecture, security, and governance baselines.
• Architecture Translation: Translate high‑level project architectures into operational Azure designs covering subscriptions, networking, IAM, compute, AKS/containers, databases, and monitoring.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain IaC code using Terraform (or approved tools) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for version-controlled, repeatable environment deployments.
• Cloud Networking & Connectivity: Implement hub‑and‑spoke network topology, VNets, subnets, routing, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls, and Application Gateways.
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Configure RBAC, managed identities, service principals, secrets, and certificate workflows based on least‑privilege principles.
• Vendor & Design Governance: Critically review vendor‑proposed cloud designs and configurations for alignment with enterprise Azure standards, security controls, and Day 2 supportability.
• Incident Diagnosis & Reliability: Perform first‑level troubleshooting for infrastructure, networking, identity, and deployment issues, while establishing monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) controls.

Requirements:

• Singaporean or PR ONLY
• Core Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering, Azure infrastructure, or cloud operations, including senior‑level responsibility for production workloads.
• Azure Mastery: Deep practical expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem components (networking, IAM, compute,storage, databases, monitoring, and security controls).
• IaC & CI/CD Pipelines: Hands‑on proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, alongside source‑control and CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
• Enterprise Networking: Proven experience with hub‑and‑spoke patterns, private endpoints, custom routing,firewalls, App Gateways, and secure hybrid connectivity.
• Containers & Orchestration: Strong experience with containers and Kubernetes (AKS), including ingress configuration, scaling, cluster observability, and deployment troubleshooting.
• Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, Go, or Bash) for cloud automation.

Nice‑to‑Have:

• Prior experience in highly regulated enterprise environments, energy/utilities, or critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps integrations and automated compliance auditing.
